THE EXPLANATION

Note: We cut this TheraSauna™ TheraMitter™ to show it's all ceramic with a curved surface and raised ribs. This far-superior heating element design gives the wise, health conscious, sauna user a distinct advantage over persons using all other saunas.

unit in the sauna (1 person unit has a mix of 1 and 2 per unit).

This design gives a "wide distribution" of wave-like infrared light energy.
TheraSauna's TheraMitter™ heating elements which have several advantages over
cheap "rod style" elements commonly found on inferior infrared saunas.
(Rod style elements look like the type you see in an electric oven. They are
a metal sheath over sand and an element). TheraSauna™’s ceramic elements
are 96% efficient to save you electricity where as "rod style" elements are only 50% efficient.
Also, the physical mass of the ceramic element is what makes it efficient because
it holds more heat and therefore gives off more consistent radiant heating.
TheraSauna's ceramic TheraMitter™'s ™ offer lower surface temperature
and more effective natural infrared.

Outstanding Difference ! " The Original TheraSauna™" has their own patented StableHeat™ digital control system which does the following: When the sauna reaches your desired set temperature, rather than shutting the radiant heaters off till the temperature drops, the patented StableHeat™ digital control maintains the temperature and 9.4 microns so you are getting a constant radiant heat which is the whole purpose of the "infrared sauna" in the first place! We actually had a competitors sauna side by side with a TheraSauna™ for testing. In the competitors sauna, after it reached the set temperature, it would shut the heaters off. We noticed it felt cooler within 5 to 10 seconds. We felt cool for about 12 minutes while all the radiant heat was off waiting for the cabin temperature to drop 1 or 2 degrees so the thermostat would turn the heaters on again!. To compensate we kept turning the temperature up so we could feel heating! It was annoying and the sauna temperature kept rising far above where we wanted it!
NOTE: Illustration of what happens when the infrared radiant heaters shut off in a competitor's infrared sauna between heating cycles: Think of how it is to be outside laying in the sun. It's 90 degrees out when suddenly a cloud goes by and blocks the sunshine. It's still 90 degrees out, but you feel cool! Why? Because you just lost the infrared radiant heat from the sun. The same thing occurs in any infrared sauna without TheraSauna's "Original" patented digital control system!
With TheraSauna’s ceramic TheraMitter’s mass and continual varying heating we remained comfortable for the entire session. Now if you go into an infrared "radiant" sauna for 30 minutes and 12 of those minutes you are not even getting heated, you would be wasting your time. And you would not be getting any beneficial infrared energy at that point which is what heals and reduces pain!

They do a beautiful job building these saunas to very rigid specifications,
quality control and testing to ensure your total satisfaction! The wood is cut,
milled, sanded, finished and assembled beautifully to resemble a fine piece
of furniture. What else would you expect from a company in business since 1966?

Why clear non-toxic Aspen wood??? The inside and outside wood is a no odor clear
non-toxic Aspen wood (which is a clear [meaning no knots] light colored wood).
The wood is grown in the USA without pesticides. Only the outside has a lacquer
sealer. You may order it without the laquer finish if desired. There is luon
used on the outside rear of the sauna.The floor comes standard with an attractive
spruce slatted board that lays over the floor luon. clear non-toxic white wood
has no odor or emissions, even after being heated! SOME other companies are
using Poplar, Birch, Hemlock or other woods, but these, when heated, may give off emissions!
Some of our competitors are using "laminated" woods (You know - the
kind of surface that chips, separates and uses extensive glues to hold it together
to the base of scrap wood chips that is glued together).
Assembly is easy and can be done in 15 to 30 minutes. It comes with allen
head attractive bronze colored screws and a tool that securely holds the sauna together. No snaps to pop
apart on you.
Also, please be aware that in February 1999 there were only a few infrared sauna
manufacturers. Now they seem to be popping up everywhere! As companies see that
there is a growing market for the "new to the USA" infrared saunas,
they are quickly throwing together inferior saunas to get a piece of the action.
Infrared sauna technology comes from the East, like Japan, and has been over
